Microsoft and Sun settle legal disputes, sign 10-year collaboration agreement.  Microsoft was scheduled to stop support for the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (MSJVM) Sept. 30 of this year. With this agreement Microsoft will be able to continue to provide product support for the MSJVM, which is an important part of web browser technology. It was excluded from Windows XP, requiring users to download and install the Sun Java software to get access to web sites using Java.  It will be interesting to see what happens now.  As of today, the Microsoft site still shows that they will discontinue support for their version.
