One of the April Windows update security patches turns out to have some problems. A second round of updates was released April 25th. Microsoft is getting more aggressive about pirated copies of windows. The Genuine Advantage (Validates windows license) tool is now a part of windows / Microsoft automatic updates. Free remote access tools. Many are familiar with VNC which has been around for a long time, and offers a way to connect to another computer and work remotely.
