GDI Vulnerability in Windows now has patch. We have had several clients that got viruses caused by this one. If not patched you can be infected by visiting a web site or email web link which has the malicious software. Microsoft considered this so urgent that they released a patch ahead of the usual 2nd Tuesday scheduled patches. Monitor prices are dropping. Dell has a 20” wide screen for about $450. Samsung 21” is under $700. I still feel that lots of workspace is a good investment to improve productivity on the computer. Virtual machines are a great solution for people that like to experiment, or need to support older software on new computers. A virtual machine is software that emulates a pc on your pc. The leading vendors are Microsoft Virtual PC, and VMware.
