SECURITY
A Windows Critical update for Internet Explorer was released March 30th. It addresses known exploits, and was released early due to the risk. Upgrade to IE8 if at all possible, earlier versions cannot be secured.
11 Windows updates were released April 13th. 5 are considered Critical. Two involve flaws that can give an attacker control of your computer simply by visiting a web page.
QuickTime and ITunes updates fix security flaws
Foxit Reader has a critical update. This is a popular alternative to Acrobat reader. You must manually check for updates on the help menu.

Fake lawsuit emails
CanSecWest Browser hacking competition revealed flaws in IPhone, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari. Google Chrome was not hacked. Methods were also shown for hijacking Blackberry web browsing sessions, gaining access to Microsoft and Logitech wireless keyboards, and gaining control of the PC via flaws in some network cards.
Recommendation: Use Chrome for surfing sites you are unsure of.
